  • Naturally processed coffees are some of our favourites! This beautiful coffee comes from Campesino Specialty Coffee in Colombia. Campesino partnered with 19 of its more detail-oriented farmers to set up the Naturals Community Project.

    Campesino’s main warehouse is located in Jerico, Antioquia. Jerico is a small and very Catholic town, home to Colombia’s only canonized saint, Madre Laura (Mother Laura). The town maintains a rich coffee culture but has limited access to resources. Campesino set-up a coffee shop in Jerico in 2016, providing a new option for the farmers to sell their coffee at a higher price and also forming a personal relationship with them. Helping them to improve quality by doing frequent farm visits, cupping analysis, and micro-loans for infrastructure projects.

    They brought together 19 of the most dedicated partners and created a Naturals Community Project to collectively produce a consistent and delicious naturally processed coffee. The 19 farmers work together, each producing their own cherries, but drying them collectively in 3 community drying beds. Cherries are hand-selected at the wet-mill, soaked in water for 10 minutes, then sun-dried.
