ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
We are excited to introduce you to another very passionate female producer Luiza Oliveira Macedo. Her family has been producing coffee for many generations.“My father was very passionate about the coffee, he passed away early in my life but he left me with his passion”.
Since 2012, she’s been responsible for the family farm Tapera do Boù, and in search for knowledge, she pursued a master’s and doctorate degree in coffee, farming, implemented more sustainable managements, made her family business grow with the acquisition of new areas and new plantations. In 2016 Luiza acquired her own lots within the farm and today she owns half of their production areas.
She runs her own company - Knowledge Agro - which aims to connect farmers to research and further education. Luiza teaches producers to cultivate higher quality lots through sustainable farming practices.
